A new sports programme has been launched for mums, which includes childcare provision.
The 'Mum to 5k' initiative from Jersey Sport is targeted at new parents wanting to get back into exercise.
Its aim is to give mums time to do something for themselves, while taking away the extra pressure of having to find someone to look after their little ones.
The course is twelve weeks long and includes running and strength training.
Jersey Sport's Grant and Sport Development Officer Chloe Bougourd says the initiative is about making fitness more accessible for parents:
"I think there's so many barriers in which new mums can face when they're trying to get active.
"Lots of local gyms and things, they don't offer childcare provision.
"When you're in the new phase of parenting, it can be quite difficult to either find the time to be away from your little one or find the childcare for someone to look after them.
"The programme has been received really, really well, it's really popular.
"The mums are just so grateful to have the opportunity to focus on themselves for an hour and get back into fitness, to help their overall wellbeing."
Sessions are either £5 on a pay-as-you-go basis or you can book the entire 12 week course, which meets twice a week.
