More intensive forensic investigations will be going on at the site of the Haut du Mont explosion over the next few weeks.
Jersey Police have given an update their investigation.
Detective Superintendent Alison Fossey, who is leading the probe into the fatal blast which claimed ten lives, says it has gathered pace over the Christmas and New Year period.
In the coming days, Health and Safety Inspectorate and police forensic excavations to determine the cause will continue.
Structural engineers will be on site to make sure the area is safe for those working there.
Five UK detectives are supporting the 20 strong local enquiry team.
So far 332 exhibits have been seized, 344 lines of enquiry pursued and 88 statements taken.
Det Supt Fossey says islanders can be assured that ' our efforts remain focused on doing the best for the grieving relatives and displaced residents'.
"Family liaison officers are supporting the bereaved families and community police are meeting regularly with the displaced residents.
Once risk assessments are made this week, the removal of further belongings from Haut du Mont will take place, allowing more comfort and continuity for those displaced. This process will similarly take at least a week or so."
Around 40 islanders spent Christmas in temporary accommodation because of the blast.
Det Supt Fossey says 'as many updates as is possible and appropriate' will be given throughout the investigation.
"The continued support from the community towards those affected by this incident has been heart-warming and officers, who will be working on these investigations for many months, have really appreciated it."
