The Red Arrows pull out of performing over Guernsey

The RAF display team says aircraft availability and engineering resources mean they cannot leave their Lincolnshire base overnight.

The Red Arrows were due to open the 2026 Guernsey Air Display tonight (9 September) but have issued a statement saying they cannot perform:

"It is with great regret that I have to withdraw RAFAT, the Red Arrows, from Guernsey Air Show this week.

"The team are facing issues with aircraft and engineering resource, which has meant they cannot produce the jets for Wednesday or deploy overnight away from Waddington anymore.

"I know this will be a great disappointment to you and the people of Guernsey, especially at late notice and following the cancellation of BBMF Dakota due to serviceability."

Organisers have moved quickly to re-order the display which will open with the aerobatic Team Raven and close with the Airborne Pyrotechnics powered gliders.

The middle section of the show will see veteran aircraft like the Swordfish torpedo bomber, the Seafire, Hurricane and Jet Provost.

The Red Arrows are still expected at Jersey's Air Display on Thursday.

The Dakota pulled out on Friday - due to serviceability.

The final running order is as follows:

18.30 Team Raven

18.50 Navy Wings Swordfish

19.05 Hurricane

19.15 Navy Wings Seafire

19.30 Jet Provost

19.45 Airborne Pyrotechnics
