New visitor pontoons in Victoria Marina are welcoming their first arrivals of the season.
Over the past six weeks, new visitor pontoons have been installed in the north-east corner of Victoria Marina.
The new 80-metre pontoons include improved power, lighting, and water supplies.
Since 2023, Guernsey Ports has invested around £1 million a year in marina improvements.
Head of Port Operations Kieran Higgs says in this case, full replacements were more cost-effective than continued maintenance.
“These pontoons were a priority for replacement, having reached the end of their design life.
“The new pontoon system provides safe, secure berthing and modern facilities that will serve boat owners for decades to come.”
More pontoon replacement work is planned for Albert Marina.
