The ‘Big Word of Mouth’, sponsored by Specsavers, returns for a third time this month.
This year Comedian & musician Dennis Burns and Journalist Jill Chadwick are two of the guest speakers set to appear.
Based on a successful enterprise that originated in Australia, Big Word Of Mouth is a fun charity event whereby anyone has the opportunity to tell a story in front of a live audience.
Organiser Paula Kontelj assisted in the running of similar events in her native Geelong, Australia prior to moving to the island.
“Big Word of Mouth gives volunteers an opportunity to get up on stage to tell a very Short true story about their life experience. It’s lots of fun and the tales are often very varied but all centred on a single topic”.
Kontelj says the theme this year is ‘naked truth’, but has stressed that this theme should be followed broadly.
“This year we have chosen the subject of ‘naked truth’, which we think covers a wide range of subject matter”.
If you wish to get involved contact Paula by email at paulakontelj@gmail.com or on 07781 106444.
The evening will take place on Thursday 19th of September from 7pm at Les Rocquettes Hotel, and funds raised at the event will be donated to Guernsey Mind.
