Pre-Travel Testing To End For Jersey To Guernsey

Arrivals into Guernsey from Jersey will not need to get a negative Covid-19 test result before travelling, starting on Monday (23 August).

The Civil Contingencies Authority has made the decision to remove the temporary pre-travel testing requirements from next week.

It means fully-vaccinated people, where more than 14 days have elapsed since their second jab, will be treated the same as others arriving from the Common Travel Area.

To avoid isolation requirements, arrivals will need to purchase a pack of five lateral flow tests for £25 and take one every other day for 10 days or the duration of their stay.

All travellers will need to show proof of a valid Covid-19 vaccination certificate.

As Jersey remains in Category 4 on Guernsey’s travel list, arrivals who are not fully-vaccinated are required to isolate until the result of a negative day 13 test.
