DFDS has announced its long-awaited regular inter islands sailing.
Jersey's ferry operator says it will run weekly services to Guernsey on Mondays, starting next week (16 June)
The Tarifa Jet will be used for round trip, with departure times from Jersey varying from 9:20am to 2:20pm.
Tickets are already on sale.
Chris Parker, Route Director for Jersey at DFDS, said: “We’re excited to be able to launch these eagerly anticipated sailings to Guernsey, providing connectivity for islanders.
“We have worked closely with businesses and the tourism industry on our provision of inter-island services, in addition to our Poole, Portsmouth and St Malo routes. Thank you to residents for their patience and we look forward to welcoming you onboard.”
DFDS won a 20 year contract to operate ferry links from Jersey from 31 March 2025. Guernsey awarded its contract to Brittany Ferries.
Soon after, Brittany Ferries scheduled a weekly sailing to Jersey - on Wednesdays.
Some Monday sailing to St Malo will be affected by the new addition to the schedule. DFDS says customers with affected bookings will be contacted to arrange alternative travel.
