All seven beds in Guernsey's Les Bourgs Hospice have been replaced with Cuddle Beds.
Cuddle Beds are designed to expand to make room for a companion to join a patient.
They cost around £17,000 each, meaning more than £100,000 was needed to upgrade all seven rooms at Les Bourgs.
The cost was covered by the Hospice, Guernsey Motor Neurone (GMN) and other donors, including Dame Mary Perkins.
Susie Hunt from GMN says they improve quality of life.
"At the flick of a switch, they open up into a much bigger bed, which allows residents at the hospice to have a cuddle with their partner, child or pet.
"There is increasing evidence that physical contact is incredibly good for us.
"It is a feeling of closeness that very often you cannot get in a medical environment."
