The average temperature was 19.6 degrees, 3 degrees hotter than the 30-year average.

That beats the 18.8°C set in 1949.
October has started warm too, with 24.4°C recorded at Maison St Louis on Sunday, making it the equal fourth warmest October day ever recorded.
Today's maximum temperature would make it the equal 4th warmest October day since our Maison St. Louis records began in 1894. The start of October 2011 was the warmest when it reached 26.9C on the 1st and warm on the 2nd and 3rd too.

Hundreds of islanders took to Jersey's beaches at the weekend to delight in the summer-like conditions.
More warm weather could be on the way too, with the five day forecast suggesting next weekend will also be mainly sunny with highs of 23 C.
