Ports of Jersey is taking over the running of the Shipyard café at St Helier harbour.
The food and drinks offering at the Elizabeth Terminal has been operated by JPRestaurants under the Café Ubé brand since 2021.
Ports says the change will happen later this month - offering hot rolls, pastries and grab and go food to foot and car ferry passengers in partnership with a 'trusted local provider'.
A statement says:
"This change reflects our continued commitment to putting customers at the heart of what we do and gives us the opportunity to focus on quality, consistency and the little touches that matter to ferry users and our wider community."
Foot passengers will continue to have access to the cafe seating area, children's play area and toilets once they have passed through security.
Captain William Sadler, Jersey Harbour Master said: “We see this as a chance to deliver real improvements to the passenger experience and to the thousands of people who use the port every year.”
Ports of Jersey has applied for an alcohol licence for the Shipyard.
The Shipyard was formerly operated by UK owned operator, Casual Dining Group, which went in administration in 2020.
It opened in July 2019, five and half years after the previous harbour restaurant closed, and traded for eight months.
