The two damaged DFDS boats returning for May

The fire damaged Caesarea Trader, and the ferry that hit the harbour berth, the Tarifa Jet, will both return for May.

The freight ship, the Caesarea Trader caught fire in February off the Isle of Wight.

The Tarifa Jet was damaged and taken out of action at the end of March, causing sailings to be rescheduled and cancelled over the easer holiday period.

The Stena Vinga is currently in dry dock for her annual service, and Stena Vinga will return on Wednesday; until then, Portsmouth sailings, are cancelled.

Côte d'Albâtre has been operating the Portsmouth route as a replacement. 

DFDS have said: "Current gusting winds are outside the vessel’s (Côte d'Albâtre) safe operating limits."

It left Portsmouth this morning and is currently en route to France.
