A big clean up job is needed at Springfield, and at Les Quennevais and Grainville playing fields.
🚨 Just popped to FB Fields. Trees and fences fallen down onto pitches, goal posts flung about, cricket sight screens everywhere, debris galore and big chunks of grass cut up. Devastating to see, it really is. #StoemCiarán pic.twitter.com/6AplH8PtfG

States-run sites remain closed today (3 November)
Sports Minister Deputy Lucy Stephenson says the impact on sport will last some time:
"To see such damage is, of course, incredibly difficult and I know it will be devastating for many of our sports clubs and associations who call these facilities their home. For some, recovery is not going to be quick or easy."
Inspections are going on the assess the extent of the damage and cost of repairs.
“I am grateful to all those working to make our sites safe at this time.
Safety is our number one priority and I urge everybody to stay away from the government-run sports facilities while they remain closed and the full extent of the damage is assessed.”
