The road outside St Luke's School will continue to shut at drop off and pick up times.
A recent survey of the primary school's staff, parents and residents of Elizabeth Street suggests 81% support the road should being closed permanently during drop-off and pick-up times.
The trial has seen the road closed to through traffic between 7:45am and 9:15am, as well as 2:00pm and 3:30pm from Monday to Friday in term-time.
Islanders can expect this pattern of closures to continue through to 19 December, which is the end of the autumn term.
Earlier this year, Assistant Minster for Infrastructure, Deputy Steve Ahier, said it would create a safer environment for families to travel to and from school.
"During drop-off and pick-up time, the street will become a pedestrian and cycle-only zone, with no motor vehicles allowed to drive through, unless they have been granted an exemption."
