A man has been found guilty by Jersey's Royal Court of choking a woman until she nearly passed out.
Andrew Page attacked his victim in December 2022, throwing her around, hitting her head against a door frame and putting his hands around her neck.
Following a trial this week, the 45 year old has been convicted of grave and criminal assault.
Page has been remanded into custody until his sentencing at a later date.
Detective Constable Verity Thomas from the Public Protection Unit described it as 'deliberate and nasty assault'.
"Behaviour like this should never be tolerated. We will do everything in our power to see offenders such as this face justice. Anyone else who has experienced similar abuse can come forward and speak to officers at any time.”
