Jersey's Royal Court has found Manuel Amaral Mila guilty of several counts of sexually assaulting children and of making indecent images.
A young girl told someone Mila had touched her when he thought she was sleeping.
During police interviews, it came to light that he had done something similar to another girl on a separate occasion.
The 59-year-old was arrested for the offences and his phone was taken for examination where several indecent images were discovered.
He was charged with all the offences in January 2024 but only pleaded guilty to the three indecent images charges.
Mila will be sentenced later this year, after being found guilty by the Royal Court on Wednesday (4 September).
Detective Constable Carla Garnier from the Public Protection Unit says the young victims in this case have shown immense courage in coming forward to report these incidents.
"We are committed to investigating and prosecuting all sexual offenders and encourage anyone who has been the victim of a crime of this nature to report to police.
"There are a number of agencies who are in a position to offer support and guidance through all stages of the criminal justice process."
