Asa Tribe has signed to a First Class County Club after a successful season with the 2nd XI.
The 19-year-old Jersey cricketer has been given a two-year rookie contract with Glamorgan County Cricket Club.
It is his first professional signing after a successful spell playing for the second team.
Jersey Head Coach Neil MacRae says Asa has worked hard on his batting and fitness to get to this level.
"[He] deserves the opportunity to continue his development with a 2-year professional contract with Glamorgan CCC."
The teen cricketer will play with the top-flight Welsh club for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
He says it is a great opportunity.
"I am now looking forward to pushing on to the next level."
