Hollywood star Henry Cavill is taking on an exciting new role... becoming a father.
The 40-year-old actor is expecting his first child with his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso.
Henry Cavill was born in St Helier and went to school here, before going on to become Superman in the 2013 film Man of Steel.
Other movie credits include The Man from U.N.C.L.E and Mission: Impossible-Fallout and this year's spy action comedy Argylle.
He has also been suggested as a favourite amongst islanders to star in the reboot of Bergerac, which is due to be revived next year.

But it seems he now has a new part to play that will keep him even busier than detective Jim Bergerac!

Speaking to Access Hollywood on the red carpet at the premier of his latest movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Henry Cavill was asked if fellow actor and father of two Henry Golding inspired him to become a dad:
"I mean he didn't inspire me to do that - my parents did.
"I'm very excited about it. Natalie and I are very excited so I'm sure you'll see much more of that."
