Islanders are being encouraged to light a candle at 7pm on Sunday 14 February for a construction worker who was seriously injured after falling from collapsed scaffolding in town last week.
The close ones of Filipe Abreu, who is 36, say he's 'fighting for his life' in Southampton Hospital.
An online event has been arranged, on behalf of Jose and his family and friends, to show the island's support.
The incident happened on Tuesday 2 February on Ann Street in St Helier.

"As you will all be aware Jose Abreu aged 36, unfortunately took a fall from scaffolding at a building site at Ann Court residential development, in Ann Street last Tuesday.
"Jose is currently in Southampton Hospital fighting for his life, with his wife and family right by his side. On behalf of Jose, his family and friends, we ask that you join us in saying a prayer and lighting a candle for Jose at 7pm Sunday 14th February, online, for us as an island to come together and show our support to the family at this hard time."
