Dave Tupper is taking on his 14th trek in aid of Jersey Cheshire Home.
He will join 10 others in tackling Mount Olympus, Greece's highest mountain to raise money for the island's only home for adults with disabilities.
The 2,197m climb will take the group five days to complete.
Dave says he leaves preparation up to the last minute:
"I generally keep fit, I do cycling but to do things like this you need to be walking fit.
I do a panic training session a month before when it dawns on me I'm going, and then I'll start walking the cliffs on the north coast."
He has taken part in the annual fundraiser every year since 2009, which has taken him from the Scottish Highlands all the way to South America.
Dave told us what his most memorable trip was:
"I think the first one because it was the first one which was Machu Picchu in Peru.
It combined the challenge of the altitude and the history of the Inca town there, it was magical."
He's hoping to raise at least £800 for the home after paying the expenses to go on the trip.
