Goodbye Stena Vinga...

The Stena Vinga has served Jersey for the last time before a change of ownership and a rebrand.

DFDS now owns the conventional ferry and it is being painted in the firm's livery.

The operator announced the purchase of the passenger and freight ship from Stena Line in May.

It has been used on the Jersey-Portsmouth route since DFDS took over the ferry contract in March 2025.

The vessel is 125 metres long and can carry 400 passengers and 200 cars. It has a freight capacity of 1500 lane meters.

The ferry was built in 2005 and is equipped with 40 cabins, a restaurant, a duty-free shop, a cinema and a recliner lounge.

It has been replaced on the Portsmouth route for now by relief vessel the Cote D'Albatre until it is due to return to service later this month renamed Corbiere Seaways.

The name was chosen following a public poll.

Whilst in dry dock the ship will also be switched to the UK registry and will fly the Red Ensign.
