Fourth warmest summer on record in Jersey

This summer was Jersey's fourth warmest on record.

Jersey Met says, after a warmest ever June, July and August were a degree above average.

The average temperature for summer 2025 is 19.2 Celsius, compared to the thirty year average of 17.7 Celsius.

It was drier and sunnier too.

We only had half the expected amount of rain in August.

More than 80% of the rain we did get fell in the final five days of the month.  27 August was the wettest day.

Sea water this summer was the second warmest since records began 65 years ago.
