The States of Jersey has confirmed that an 84-year-old woman has died following a single car accident at La Corbière early on Sunday evening (7 April).
The emergency services were called to the well known beauty spot after reports that a car had fallen around 20 feet from the cliff edge at La Corbière public car park.
Police were treating the passenger while Jersey Fire & Rescue cut the driver free from a black Suzuki Swift.
Both occupants were elderly women, who were taken to hospital for treatment.
An 84-year-old subsequently died in hospital overnight.
Police are now asking for witnesses.
