Jersey's Economic Development Minister wants Jersey to follow the UK and order a lockdown to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson is telling Britons to stay at home or face a fine.
All shops except food stores and chemists will be closed, gatherings of more than 2 people banned and people limited to one form of outside exercise a day.
Senator Lyndon Farnham has since tweeted to say he wants Jersey's government to do the same.

Former Treasury Minister Philip Ozouf has echoed that message while Deputy Kevin Pamplin, who's heading up the Scrutiny panel set up to investigate the government's response to the coronavirus pandemic, has also called on the Chief Minister to order a lockdown:

After watching the UK PM tonight & reports of some blatant disregard for social distancing, Im calling for the Chief Minister & the emergency council following Dr Muscat’s medical advice to being in a similar lockdown in #JerseyCI ASAP & help our health medics & us all fight back
