Police are looking for the person who grabbed another man by the throat in town last Thursday (10th January).
No arrests were made and no-one was injured during the incident, that took place at around 3pm behind the big Boots on Hilgrove Street.
The offender is described as being in his 20s, about 6 foot tall, with shoulder length hair and short stubble on his face. He walked off towards McDonalds after the incident.
The man assaulted was in his 30s.
Both men are known to each other.
