Trial of man accused of Sarah Groves' murder could resume

Sarah Groves' family say the hurt of her loss gets worse, years after her death.

13 years ago, on 6 April 2013, Sarah Groves was found murdered on a houseboat in Kashmir.

This is a territory disputed by India and Pakistan in the very north of the subcontinent.

Police prosecutors believe a Dutchman, Richard de Wit, was the murderer, and he was quickly charged.

But for 13 years, the justice process has stalled or been repeatedly interrupted.

The court hearings were suspended five years ago, when he was deemed mentally unfit to face trial.

The Groves family say he remains in prison in the capital Srinagar, but they hear there are moves to restart the trial.

They say out of the 46 prosecution witnesses, only four are yet to give evidence.

Vic and Kate Groves say the loss of Sarah gets worse, and not better, as time passes, and have asked for privacy this Easter.
