The number of travellers taking a ferry to Guernsey is up 16% between June last year and June 2025.
The latest States statistics show that visitor numbers departing the island increased by 6% between June '24 and this June.
However, the total, which includes cruise ship passengers and yacht crews, is 3% down on two years ago.
Sea travel is the clear winner in terms of getting more people to and from Guernsey, and its popularity is increasing year on year.
Travel by sea for the second quarter of the year, which is when Brittany Ferries took over running Guernsey's sea routes, is up 16% on the previous year.
However, cruise ship passenger numbers are down significantly by 35% on last year's quarter two figures and a massive 63% on the same period in 2023.
Around 52% of all overnight visitors are coming for leisure, 28% to see friends or family, and 12% are on business.
There has been a slight dip in the length of overnight stay, but it is still around 4.5 nights.
Day trip numbers are increasing, and the majority come here for a break.
The new Islands Unlimited Service to Jersey would have been included in the figures for the second quarter as it began sailing in early June.
