500 hampers are being provided for those who were in Guernsey during the Occupation or who were evacuated to England.
The hampers will contain Guernsey Gâche, banana bread, loose leaf tea, butter and fresh milk, a ration card, and a themed postcard.
They're being provided jointly by the States' Education Committee, the Guernsey Dairy and Collas Crill advocates.
Christian Hay, the Guernsey managing partner at Collas Crill, says they're a treat for those who went through the privations of war:
"We are delighted to be supporting these amazing hampers, which contain items that would have been unavailable or rationed during the Occupation.
We hope they are enjoyed by members of our community who lived through the hardships of the Second World War."
They're being reserved for islanders who endured the Occupation or who were sent to England in June 1940 and are now over 80 and live in a private home. Hampers will be sent separately to those in care homes.

Only one hamper can be claimed per household and they'll be ready to collect from Beau Sejour on Monday 8 May between 9.30 and 1pm.
