A sample in early July showed elevated e-coli but Environmental Health say the reading should not be taken in isolation.
Guernsey's Environmental Health department says the water at the popular Ladies Pool has recorded excellent results across weekly checks.
It comes after Havelet Bay tested 'poor' for seawater quality earlier this month, meaning it has elevated e-coli levels.
Tobin Cook, who heads up Environmental Health and Pollution Regulation, is not linking this single result to the nearby sewer discharge at Soldiers Bay.
This has been broken since May and is pumping out raw sewage from Fort George.
Despite this, he says tests in Soldiers Bay have been clear, aside from one poor result, and nearby Fermain also rated excellent.
Mr Cook says the Ladies Pool, now incredibly popular year round, has tested 'excellent' every week so far in July.
He says a single poor reading at Havelet should be viewed in context:
“The best measure of Guernsey’s bathing water quality is the four-year average, with 8 out of 13 bays being rated as excellent, including Havelet and Fermain, with the rest meeting or exceeding the required standard.
“Seeing the occasional weekly result that doesn’t meet the required standard is not unexpected, and we would be more concerned if we were seeing results consistently below this, which is why we continue to monitor results."
