A Guernsey teenager is taking on a month-long, open water, marathon swim!
Alice Miller, 13, will swim 26 miles from today (12 June) until 12 July.
Most of the swims will be completed in Havelet Bay.
The aim is to raise £1,000, with all proceeds going directly to local charity Paws for Support.
It's her first attempt at completing a marathon - she completed seven swims in seven days across Havelet Bay in 2024 to raise funds for the GSPCA, before completing 100 consecutive days of swimming in support of Guernsey Conservation Volunteers.
Alice said:
"I think mental health is very important and Paws for Support provide help in a way that’s very different for people of all ages.
"It’s a positive way to feel better about things. I’ve supported charities with an animal or environmental angle and this year I am focusing on mental health."
