What should feature in the new Jersey Monopoly?

We might all soon be able afford to buy property in Jersey... in a new game of Monopoly.

A new version of the popular board game will be out in time for Christmas.

The makers are asking islanders what local landmarks and Jersey quirks should feature.

The last Jersey edition came out in 2004 and was popular, but was later discontinued.

John Keen-Tomlinson from Winning Moves UK says its a 'brand-new game for a brand-new generation'.

He develops other regional Monopoly boards, including for Bristol, Manchester, and even Boston, he said:

"We can customise everything apart from the four corner squares to keep the original feeling

"When we come to any area, we love to hear suggestions because obviously we can do our own research, but getting those more niche references and regional colloquial terms, we love doing.

"We'd love to get the famous landmarks but also the new or independent businesses, for example, that people know and recognise, that we wouldn't find in general research."

Suggestions include replacing the traditional train station on the London edition with 'milking stations' in a nod to the famous Jersey cow.

A Jersey charity will get to star on its very own Community Chest space on the board.

30 landmarks and organisations will feature in the game.  The coloured sets could include themes such as tourist attractions, local foods such as ice cream and Jersey Royals, or entertainment spots.

“The board will be a celebration of everything Jersey”.

The public can send in suggestions by email to: jersey@winningmoves.co.uk before 23.59pm on 10 April 2026.

Winning Moves UK, an official MONOPOLY maker, is producing the brand-new MONOPOLY: Jersey Edition board game, under license from Hasbro.
