Wettest ever February in Jersey

Last month was the wettest February in Jersey since records began in 1894.

We had 182 millimetres or rain , more than double what is normal for the time of year.

Only three of the 28 days were dry.

However, it was also the second mildest February ever recorded, averaging 9.5 Celsius.

Overall, this winter was the third wettest on record, but it was both brighter and milder than the season's thirty year average,

Storm Goretti hit the island on the 8 and 9 January, bringing winds gusts of 95mph.
