Real Housewives of Jersey star Tessa Hartmann says Jersey is 'a really sensible option' for filming this year's Love Island.
The Daily Mirror reported last night that Jersey is being considered as a back-up option if the popular ITV show can't take place in Majorca because of coronavirus travel rules.
Darcy Kelly caught up with The Real Housewives of Jersey star, Tessa Hartmann, to find out what she thinks of the reality TV series possibly being filmed on-island.
The 2020 summer series was cancelled due to the pandemic. It was held in the winter instead, with Paige Turley and Finley Tapp winning.
It's being reported that a summer return is on the cards for 2021 - and it looks like Jersey is being seriously considered as a filming location.
Tessa Hartmann says:
"I think it would be a shining example to showcase Jersey and to keep such a global TV production within the British Isles. We've got it all - we've got waters that look like the tropics, we can take them out to the Minquiers, we have beautiful houses, our coastlines are phenomenal and we've got the sun!

'"or me, this isn't about TV this is about building a creative industry within Jersey and that's what excites me...It would be an incredible compliment to the local economy and it would also give people the opportunity in Jersey to work at home, to stay in Jersey but work in their chosen fields."
