Ann Morgan and Justine Le Bon Bell, from Jersey Family Nursing & Home Care, have been awarded the title of Queen's Nurse for their work in the community.
The title of Queen’s Nurse (QN) is awarded by the Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI), to them among others in the island.
It is recognition for registered nurses with more than five years' experience in a primary care or social care setting, acknowledging their commitment to delivering care in the community.
The latest recipients bring the total of Queen's Nurses at community nursing charity Family Nursing and Home Care to five.
Ann Morgan is FNHC's Practice Development Clinical Nurse Specialist, while Justine Le Bon Bell is Head of Education and Development.
To qualify, both women had to provide evidence of their skills and experience, supported by references from patients and colleagues.
Ann said: ”It is a great honour to receive the Queen’s Nurse title and I am both delighted and excited. This isn’t just recognition of the standard and impact of my practice but about playing an important part in the future of community nursing.
Justine added: ”I am proud to have been recognised in this way."
Both will be presented with their badge and certificate at a ceremony in London later this year.
