The heroics of the RNLI's St Helier lifeboat crew will feature in the BBC's Savings Lives at Sea programme for the first time next week.
Helmet cam footage will show the rescue of two teenage girls and their unconscious father from a French yacht 16 miles west of the island's south coast.
RNLI Jersey last made it into the popular primetime series seven years ago, when two rescues by the St Catherine's lifeboat station were included in series 4.
The St Helier crew will be in the episode due to air on 15 September at 8pm.
The charity says the production team has indicated the island will feature more than once during this current series.
RNLI Jersey's St Helier Lifeboat Operations Manager, Nigel Sweeny MBE, said:
"Our crew have helmet and boat cameras which allow us to record exercises and shouts, which can help with training and post-incident debriefs.
"One of the nice by-products is that we sometimes get footage which we can share with the Saving Lives at Sea team. It's always exciting to see our volunteer crew recognised for their work and we are all looking forward to this particular episode."
The Lieutenant Governor, Vice Admiral Sir Jeremy Kyd KBE, is looking forward to watching the show:
"The crews at RNLI Jersey spend countless hours training to save lives at sea, and it will be fantastic to see how that training is put into practice through the unique viewpoint of their helmet cameras.
"The success of the Saving Lives at Sea series is largely because we get to see volunteers putting their lives at risk for the sake of others, often in extraordinary circumstances - I am really looking forward to seeing Jersey being featured in this coming episode."
