The election recount for deputies in St Helier is complete - and the results stay the same.
The difference between the lowest polled winner, Reform Jersey's Lee Carpenter and the highest losing candidate, Robin Ward was within the 1% margin of error.
Four deputies can be elected for St Helier Central, with the recount concerning the candidates placed 4th and 5th in the polls.
On Monday, when the initial results were declared, Deputy-elect Carpenter had 833 votes, with Ward securing 812 votes.
The recount only changed one vote, with Ward losing it to Claire De Than:
- CARINA ALVES: 1106 votes - ELECTED
- LYNDSAY FELTHAM: 982 votes - ELECTED
- CATHERINE CURTIS - 850 votes - ELECTED
- LEE CARPENTER - 833 votes - ELECTEDclean sweep
- ROBIN WARD - 811 votes - NOT ELECTED
- CLAIRE DE THAN - 582 votes - NOT ELECTED
- CAMERON MONRO - 524 votes - NOT ELECTED
- JOHN TTOKKALLOS - 444 votes - NOT ELECTED
The clean sweep was one of the success stories of the night for Jersey's only political party, which suffered heavy losses elsewhere.
