Sir Timothy Le Cocq retires as Bailiff

Sir Tim Le Cocq is retiring as Jersey's Bailiff after exactly six years.

Jersey's 90th Bailiff has finished his final day in the Royal Court, bringing his time in charge to an end.

He was appointed by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2019 and knighted by the Prince of Wales in 2022.

He told islanders he intended to sit for six years to the day.

Deputy Bailiff Robert MacRae will be assuming the position on Friday, 24 October 2025.

Mr MacRae has been Deputy Bailiff since 2020 and is a former Attorney General.
