Blue Note has reopened following its refurbishment as the tenants sign a new long‑term lease.
Owners Tomasz Tura and Elwira Gniatek will continue to lease the landmark bar with Butcombe Group - securing the venues future until 2033.
It's been given a new lease of life too, with a full internal and external refurbishment - mostly marked by fresh paint, murals, and signage outside.
The owners, who previously ran the bar, took over in 2018, and since then, it has cemented its position as a pillar of Jersey's live music scene, hosting jazz, blues, and original music.
Tomasz Tura runs the venue alongside his partner, Eliwira. He says they will continue to offer a space for all musicians, budding, experienced, young, and old, of all genres:
"I feel, especially for younger musicians, and also for people who write their own music, that sometimes they do struggle finding places and venues that will welcome them and give them an opportunity to present what they've been creating.
"We've been trying to help with this as much as we can.
"In recent years, we've tried especially to promote under-18 bands and musicians.
"Because we are limited by the licensing law, which doesn't allow under-18s in after 9 pm, we've started inviting them to play a set or full-on gig before 9 pm, and this has been working well.
"The fact that we are not going anywhere, and can carry on doing what we have been doing whilst adding on some improvements, is great for us, and also for the musicians in Jersey.
"They can rest assured that the live music scene will continue thriving."
