Part of Haut du Mont, where a fatal explosion took the lives of 10 islanders in 2022, is going to be rented out again to Andium tenants.
Andium Homes began refurbishing flats on the north of the Pier Road site last week.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of the year, meaning islanders will be able rent the 21 flats through the social housing provider.
In December 2022, 10 islanders lost their lives in an explosion in one of the blocks on the south of the site.
Three blocks (G,I and J), which were severely damaged by the blast, were later demolished.
A criminal investigation into what happened is ongoing.

Many islanders were also displaced by the explosion, with the community devastated by Jersey's loss.

The area of the explosion is being given to the government, for free, to create a memorial, honouring those who lost their lives.
Zoe Hibbs, Communications Lead, Andium Homes says they have been working closely with the bereaved families and displaced residents since the incident, and with the government on the memorial.
"Transferring part of the site into government ownership was a key outcome from the consultation with the bereaved families who wanted assurance that the memorial will be owned by the public in the long term and suitably protected."
