Red Arrows still expected for Jersey Air Show

The Red Arrows are still expected in Jersey tomorrow (10 September), despite pulling out of tonight's Guernsey Air Display.

The RAF said it could not deploy away for its UK base overnight due to resource issues.

However, organisers of the Jersey Air Show say they have not been advised of any issue that would prevent the jets from appearing here.

In a post on social media, the JAS said:

"We know there have been some questions following the cancellation of the Red Arrows’ appearance in Guernsey today.

"We have spoken with the team and, at this stage, we have not been advised of any issue that would prevent the Red Arrows from performing in Jersey tomorrow. Had there been a known problem affecting their Jersey appearance, we would have expected to have been informed by now.

"So, as things currently stand, we remain confident that the Red Arrows will be taking to the skies over St Aubin’s Bay tomorrow."

More to follow.
