Aer Lingus will begin flying between Jersey and Belfast City Airport next year, reviving a 10 year old route.
The Irish flag carrier will service the route twice a week from 6 May.
The flights will run on Wednesdays and Saturdays and open up 6,000 seats for islanders.
Economic Development Minister Deputy Kirsten Morel says the new route will allow islanders and businesses to explore new opportunities:
"This is a great sign of confidence in Jersey as an attractive destination and will also be welcomed by Islanders, many of whom have family connections with Northern Ireland."
Matt Thomas, Ports of Jersey Cheif Executive, says the air link is a 'vote of confidence in our future'.
While, Ciarán Smith, who heads Emerald Airlines says Aer Lingus is pleased to be bolstering the Belfast schedule.
"We anticipate these new routes to be popular amongst those travelling for both business and leisure purposes, and we look forward to providing that increased connectivity to and from Belfast.”
