Dave Rigby from Jersey Met said:
"Howard Davis Farm has had around 38mm of rain, that's from about 9pm yesterday evening through until lunchtime-ish (today).
"At Maison St Louis around 37mm of rain, and up at the airport around 24mm of rain.
"We had more rain at Howard Davis and Maison St Louis today than we had for the whole month of September.
Temperatures also slumped today, only reaching 16.7°C.
The maximum temperature recorded at Maison St Louis Observatory today was around dawn, with temperatures of 16.7°C, then we see a marked drop as colder air arrived across the islands. https://t.co/mVPg666m36

That compares to 22.9°C on Monday.
Mr Rigby added:
"The first week of October we were well above the average for the month, but this wind is charging to the north and bringing down the colder air.
"We've seen the temperature fall quite markedly today. We were still up around 16 or 17 as dawn came this morning, but once that rain set in, and even more once it cleared, the temperatures have dropped markedly.
"We're expecting highs tomorrow of around 16. We may pick up by a degree or two over the weekend, but we'll not seen the high 20s again. We may get close to a 20 on Monday, but through the weekend, we'll definitely see temperatures in the teens."
