Farmers in Grouville say they've found the person who rode on the back of a pregnant Jersey cow.
Master Farms has shared a photo on social media of a man on the back of one of their heifers.
They had been sent the image over the weekend and urged the person responsible to get in touch and explain themselves.
The man's actions were widely condemned by islanders, who called the behaviour 'disgraceful, appalling and totally unacceptable'.
In an update on Monday night (3 June), Dairy manager Phil Le Maistre say the person has been in contact with them and with the police.
"They have apologised and regret their actions. They will be paying for the vet bill and also we have asked them to make a donation to a local animal charity."
The heifer, called May, is fine, as is her unborn calf.
"Thank you very much to everyone who shared our post and sent messages asking how she was doing. It’s amazing and nice to see the strong community spirit that still exists on our island."
