A 53-year-old man, who hid 280g of cocaine in the woods and had £12,000 in cash stashed in a suitcase, has been jailed for more than seven and a half years.
Darren Anthony Reece, from Cardiff, was arrested in March 2022 after a covert police operation.
The Class A drug was found in a wooded area of St Aubin and the suitcase of cash was discovered in his St Aubin home.
Two mobile phones showing his drug-dealing activities were also seized.
Reece pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.
He was sentenced to seven years and eight months behind bars.
"Almost all of the investigations we carry out concerning drugs are complex and time consuming. We continue to work hard alongside other agencies to ensure that the work put into each operation pays off.
We’ll continue to keep our community safe and protect the most vulnerable from the harm these drugs can cause." - Detective Sargeant Jim McGranahan.
