Jersey Lifeboat Association was called just before 8 pm last night (1 April) to help a small motor boat with engine failure.
The boat, which was out fishing, suffered a complete electrical failure.
Two people were on the vessel, and fog had reduced visibility to 50 meters.
When called at 7. 58 pm, the crew was already at the station, having just completed an evening training session, allowing Albert Pinel to launch within moments.

Jersey Fire and Rescue had placed the vessel under tow to prevent it drifting with the outgoing tide.
On arrival, Albert Pinel took over the tow and returned the vessel safely to Albert Pier.
