Jersey's own Rachel Leck is about to embark on the next stage of her journey to Paralympics 2028, as she prepares to take on an elite training scheme.
The 28 year old para-discus thrower has just completed an athletics camp where she was trained by top Commonwealth Games coaches in Mauritius.
There is little rest now though for Jersey's medal hopeful, who has just qualified for the Paralympic Futures Academy.
This exclusive coaching programme will provide Rachel with targeted support and training, with the view to getting her to a paralympic level, to hopefully compete in the 2028 games.
Rachel tells Channel 103 what reaching the Paralympics would mean to her:
"I don't think I've got the words... I think I'd be incredibly honoured to be Team GB and from Jersey, I don't think there's been any para athletes for a long time.
"I think it would put Jersey on the map a bit more for sports."
