Scott Weaver has set himself the challenge of playing tennis for 24 hours to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The 30-year-old has thought about doing this for a few years and found himself walking into the charity's shop and talking to them about how he could get involved.
Around 20 people will be helping him with the challenge, playing against him, at the Cesarean Tennis Club in St Savior.
Scott says he's excited and nervous.
"A full 24-hours? That's not going to be easy, but I've had a lot of very positive feedback from family, friends and everyone from the tennis club."
The head of tennis at the club has already raised more than £1,700. However, the next Cancer Research target of £2,500 will help to deliver treatments and aid doctors in deciding how best to treat lymphoma.
Reaching the last target would fund five days of the PETReA trial to help the cancer which affects white blood cells.
When asked if he would do the intense tennis marathon again, Scott said:
"I'll see how this one goes, and it might be the case of a couple of years down the line, maybe looking at doing it again?
"But I'll see how this one goes."
