Condor sailings between Jersey and St Malo tomorrow have been cancelled due to industrial action by stevedores in the Brittany port.
The two Rapide round trips and Goodwill freight service will not operate and neither will Brittany Ferries Pont Aven sailings.
Around 2,000 passengers will be affected.
Condor CEO Paul Luxon has called the disruption exceptionally frustrating.
"We are dismayed that the action taken by the stevedores at such short notice is affecting the travel of our passengers and we share their abject disappointment.
"Condor is resolved to mitigating, as best it can, the impact this is having and we are contacting all passengers to offer them a full refund or reschedule their sailing."
The French port staff went on strike for two weekends in a row at around the same time last year, as well as in early January.
Meanwhile the Condor Liberation is now out of dry dock, but can't return to service tomorrow as scheduled.
Sailings have been cancelled because of forecast rough weather in the north of the English Channel.
The ship was taken in for routine maintenance in Poole last month - and the ferry firm said the vessel would be in operation again in time for the busy Christmas getaway.
