A 2km² land fire at Grève de Lecq has been extinguished by Jersey Fire and Rescue.
Fire crews were called to Jersey's north-west coast at 4pm on Thursday (19 June), where the headland was ablaze.
The fire measured around 100 metres by 20 metres.
Flames were contained by the crew so as not to spread to the surrounding areas.
After it was put out, crews remained on scene to ensure the fire was fully extinguished and the area made safe.
Watch Commander Ryan is reminding islanders that, with the hot weather set to continue, extra caution should be taken when visiting areas of open land.

Fires can ignite easily and spread rapidly in dry conditions.
Today (19 Jun) was the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures climbing above the previous high of 25.9 °C we had at the end of April.
It's set to reach 32°C on Friday and 30°C on Saturday.
