Four people were led to safety from flats above a shop fire on Beresford Street.
Jersey Fire and Rescue was called to the town centre on Monday evening (8 June).
Smoke was coming from one of the shops. Two people had called 999 just before 8.30pm.
Four appliances attended the scene and six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus put out the fire.
Four people were moved to safety from flats above the affected premises. No injuries have been reported.
