A water supply has been connected to the field hospital at Millbrook and Jersey Electricity has fast-tracked a 450-volt substation to provide critical services such as power, lighting and heating.
St Aubin's inner road is closed this week while the temporary facility is hooked up to drainage and electricity.
Jersey Water has connected a supply pipe from the main in the road. Around 600 metres of pipework are running around the playing fields.

Electricity engineers have been on site since 11 April to make sure a temporary power supply is there - they've also loaned an emergency portable generator to supply homes in case of an outage.
The substation also provides oxygen provision, ventilation and air-conditioning.
Heating engineers have also been working inside the hospital itself.

The hospital is due to be operational from 4 May with the first 60 beds. There will be 180 beds in total, which can extend to 240.
